Samsung Biologics is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support a commercial biopharmaceutical manufacturing site in Rockville, MD, operating under GMP and electrical standards.

This role provides design, installation, qualification, maintenance, and continuous improvement of facility and process electrical systems, with responsibilities spanning projects, safety, validation support, and staff training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of electrical engineering experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (pharmaceutical, biotech, or similar).
• Working knowledge of NEC codes, electrical standards, and GMP requirements.
• Experience with electrical systems supporting utilities and process equipment (e.g., power distribution, controls, automation interfaces).
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Experience managing or supporting capital projects.
• Proficiency with technical documentation and basic project management tools.

Responsabilités

• Execute electrical projects to meet technical, budget and schedule goals.
• Participate in evaluation, selection, and implementation of new equipment or modifications with consideration to new processing technologies.
• Use OE Tools to gather and analyze data on equipment/facility service problems to identify root causes and generate improvements.
• Lead investigations and recommend solutions with key customer groups.
• Develop a project plan and budget, and implement approved modifications with proper documentation.
• Provide training to staff involved in use or maintenance of electrical equipment.
• Prepare or review operation, safety and maintenance procedures.
• Support validation staff in development of validation strategies and testing plans.
• Delegate project duties within department and supervise contractors.
• Evaluate identified EHS risks and mitigate through tiered accountability.
