Job summary

Foxconn Industrial Internet - FII in Houston seeks an Electrical Engineer to lead the electrical aspects of facility and infrastructure projects. You will coordinate design, installation, testing, and commissioning to ensure safety, compliance, and on-time delivery.

Ideal candidates have a strong background in electrical systems, solid project coordination skills, and the ability to translate technical requirements into successful project outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant field.
  • At least 3+ years of electrical engineering experience.
  • Experience with 480-volt (low voltage) systems required.
  • Industrial building electrical installations and transformers experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate electrical parts of projects.
  • Prepare construction plans and identify errors for repair.
  • Develop project plan and monitor progress (schedule, costs).
  • Request quotes, compare options, and finalize decisions.
  • Ensure warranty work is completed and accepted.
  • Support procurement by locating suppliers and handling paperwork.
  • Coordinate daily with contractors and monitor changes.
  • Enforce EHS and security aspects across projects.
  • Develop framework contracts for electrical equipment.

Job description

The Electrical Engineeris responsible formanaging and coordinating the electrical aspects of facility and infrastructure projects. This role ensures that all electrical components from design and installation to testing and commissioning are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with codes and standards. The engineer works closely with internal teams, contractors, and vendors to define project requirements, develop schedules, and oversee progress to ensuretimelyand cost-effective delivery. The ideal candidate has a strong background in electrical systems, excellent project coordination skills, and the ability to translate technical requirements into successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibility
  • Manage and coordinate the (mainly electrical) parts of all the projects.
  • Responsible for the preparation and processing of the construction plans,identifyingpossible errors, having them repaired by the designer, compiling material and equipment requirements,submittinginvestmentrequirements,and technical monitoring.
  • Compile the project plan and continuouslymonitoritsdevelopment(schedule, costs, etc.).
  • Oversee the requesting of quotes, conductcomparisons, andpreparefinaldecisionson quotes.
  • Accept any completed work after having any warranty repairs carried out.
  • Support theManager bysearching for suppliers, documenting projects, and any paperwork needed.
  • Follow up and coordinateon a daily basiswith contractors.
  • Responsible for monitoring anddocumentingany work changes to documentation ofthe project.
  • Accountablefor enforcing EHS and security aspects of all projects assigned.
  • Responsible for thedevelopment ofallframework contracts (e.g.electrical equipment, generators, fire alarm systems).
  • Must Have experience with 480 voltages (low voltage),
  • Transformers installation on industrial buildings.
  • Industrial building electrical installations of wiring and equipment.
  • Good communicationand problem-solving skills.
Experience/Education
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or relevantfields.At least 3+ years of professional experience in a similarfield.

  • Industrial building electrical installations of wiring and equipment.
  • Good communicationand problem-solving skills.
