Overview
Electrical Engineer designs, develops, modifies, and evaluates electronic parts, components or integrated circuitry for electronic equipment or other hardware systems. Determines design approaches and parameters, analyzes equipment to establish operating data, conducts experimental tests and evaluates results, selects components based on specifications and reliability, and may review vendor capability to support product development.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and validate production control equipment.
- Oversee installation, modification, upgrade, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
- Maintain current records on equipment manufacturers’ technical notices, upgrades, and safety issues.
- Study equipment performance and reliability.
- Establish programs and solutions for increasing uptime and addressing equipment problems that affect the manufacturing process.
- Provide technical support to the manufacturing equipment repair and process engineering organizations.
- Define and write preventative maintenance schedules.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5 years of related experience or Master’s degree with 3 years of related experience.
- 4+ years of PLC programming experience preferred (Siemens and Honeywell controls).
- 4+ years of experience in PCB layout and control systems.
- 2+ years of experience in high power distribution and equipment electrical harnessing.
- Proficiency in creating, reviewing, and editing relevant technical documents.
- Familiarity with latest industry tools, techniques, and standards.
