Federal Sector Electrical Engineer

Halff has an immediate opening for a Licensed Electrical Engineer (P.E.) to work fully remote.

Electrical Engineer Responsibilities:

• Responsible for planning and preparing engineered contract documentation for assigned projects, working as an electrical Project Manager to meet deadlines, aiding in or providing engineering decisions, and collaborating with other engineers, architects, and/or owners.
• Responsible for creating electrical project construction documents, plans, specifications, and design analyses for electrical/lighting system designs.
• Responsible for on-site visits, as necessary, to collect existing condition information, attend meetings, respond to construction inquiries, and report on-site observations. Construction activities when necessary may include shop drawing reviews, responding to RFI’s, and site visits to generate observation reports.
• Assist in developing and maintaining client relationships.

Electrical Engineer Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Must be a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Arkansas or have the ability through NCEES to be licensed in Arkansas and other states.
• 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering in Federal Sector-related projects.
• Experienced in lighting/lighting control, power design, and distribution of normal and emergency power systems.
• High-level interpersonal relationship skills, proficiency in communication skills, and organizational skills.
• Design-build experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with USACE and GSA-type clients.
• Ability to manage federal projects.
