Job summary

Olsson is seeking an Associate Electrical Engineer to join our Federal Engineering and Design Team. In this role you will support the planning and design of electrical systems for federal facilities and infrastructure projects, gaining exposure to UFC, DoD, and VA requirements.

You will work with licensed engineers on power distribution, lighting, fire alarm and life-safety systems, use Revit, AutoCAD, SKM or AGi32, and travel to project sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering; EIT certification or ability to obtain within a reasonable timeframe.
• Familiarity with design software such as Revit, AutoCAD, SKM, or AGi32.
• Basic understanding of NEC and building electrical systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for federal facilities, including power distribution, lighting, grounding, communications, and life-safety systems.
• Perform engineering calculations, layouts, and equipment selections under licensed engineers.
• Develop knowledge of codes, standards, and industry best practices; coordinate with mechanical, civil, structural, and architectural teams.
