Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat in Groton, CT seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer - Facilities Project Manager to lead complex infrastructure initiatives at the 110+ year old shipyard. You will manage electrical distribution systems up to 35 kV, coordinate with vendors, and ensure on-time project delivery while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of electrical engineering experience, a BS in EE, and strong communication skills, with PE preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelors of Science Degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years of post graduate experience in electrical engineering.
• Professional Engineering License (PE) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define scope of work for projects and prepare bid documents.
• Select vendors, secure funding, and process purchase requisitions.
• Manage field execution, budgets, schedules, and project documentation.
• Interface with city officials and Naval oversight as required.
• Maintain strong written and verbal communications and stay technically current.
