Job summary

Second Order Effects is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design, architect, and implement high-performance electrical systems across a diverse range of projects. You will collaborate with engineers to develop solutions for mission-critical challenges across multiple industries.

You will build circuitry, write firmware, and perform simulations while taking ownership from design through validation and client review, in a dynamic team environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering or related field.
• Experience with ECAD tools and circuit simulation.
• Experience in firmware or HDL development and hardware design.

Responsibilities

• Drive design efforts for electronic systems architecture and implementation.
• Select components and trade studies to meet design requirements.
• Capture schematics and PCB layouts; create symbols/footprints.
• Perform circuit simulation and thermal analysis; size thermal management.
• Develop firmware in C/C++ or HDL for FPGA; write tests; support projects end-to-end.
