Job summary

MSI Defense Solutions is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design, develop, test, and deliver electrical, electronic, and controls projects for customers. The role integrates programming, electrical and mechanical design, and systems integration to create prototype and production solutions.

Responsibilities include controls development, embedded systems, PCB layout, wiring harness design, and documentation. Travel is limited and collaboration with MSI engineering resources is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• Motivated, highly organized and responsible
• Understanding of Windows and Office
• Strong controls experience (theory and hands-on)
• Programming in C, C++, LabVIEW, MATLAB/Simulink (preferred)
• ECU programming and development
• Embedded systems design and PCB troubleshooting
• Wiring harness design and documentation (required)
• Automotive communication protocols: CAN, I2C, Ethernet, USB
• Schematic capture experience (AutoCAD Electrical)
• Mechanical design experience a plus
• US citizenship and clearance eligibility

Responsibilities

• Specify hardware and programming to control electro-hydraulic systems (C, C++, LabVIEW, MATLAB/Simulink, IQAN, PLUS+1)
• Embed electronic hardware with mechanical components and perform PCB layout and testing
• Interface with automotive networks (CAN, J1939, LIN) and wire harness development
• Maintain project documentation, drawings, schematics, and software revisions
