Job summary

Scientific Applications & Research Associates, Inc. (SARA) is seeking an Electrical Engineer in Colorado Springs, CO to support diagnostic instrumentation and lab testing on high-power systems. The role involves on-site testing, data acquisition, and analysis for programs serving DoD and DoE customers.

Candidates should have a strong lab background and clear communication skills. The work is on-site with occasional travel; 25% travel may be required.

Qualifications

• The candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, physics, or a relevant field.
• Hands-on testing and debugging experience with equipment such as oscilloscope, logic analyzer, and signal generator.
• US Citizen with the ability to obtain DoD Top Secret clearance; willing to travel up to 25%.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to work independently in a dynamic team.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary diagnostic support resource in the lab, performing on-site testing and troubleshooting.
• Set up, execute, analyze, and document lab tests with data acquisition systems.
• Operate and maintain test equipment and ensure data integrity and traceability.
• Prepare detailed technical reports and support field testing as needed, including travel.
• Interpret complex schematics and contribute to problem solving and design reviews.
