Job summary

Jobot seeks a Permanent Electrical Engineer to design, develop, and test electrical systems for commercial and residential construction projects. The role focuses on power distribution, low voltage, and lighting design, ensuring NEC compliance and safety.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in construction electrical engineering, PE license or capability to obtain one, and proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam. This full-time position offers competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• PE license or ability to obtain one.
• Min 5 years of electrical engineering in construction (commercial/residential).
• Proficient in electrical systems design, circuit analysis, power systems, and electrical safety management.
• Strong knowledge of NEC and relevant regulations.
• Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam.
• Excellent ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Experience stamping/sealing electrical engineering documents.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems for commercial and residential construction, including power distribution, low voltage, and lighting systems.
• Ensure designs and installations comply with NEC and other regulations.
• Use software tools (Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam) for design and circuit analysis.
• Review and stamp/seal electrical engineering documents.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects and contractors to meet schedules and budgets.
• Conduct site inspections and audits for safety and code compliance.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and team members.
• Stay updated with latest electrical engineering advancements and apply them.
