Job summary

Jobot in Metairie, LA is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our growing construction team. You'll design and implement electrical systems for commercial and residential projects, provide calculations, and supervise installation.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Electrical Engineering within the construction industry.
Proficient in Revit.
Understanding of electrical engineering codes and safety standards.
Professional Engineer (PE) certification preferred.
Strong communication and project management skills.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and supervise the installation of electrical equipment, components, or systems for commercial or residential construction projects.
Conduct detailed calculations to compute and establish manufacturing, construction or installation standards or specifications.
Prepare and study technical drawings, specifications of electrical systems, and topographical maps to ensure installation and operations conformity.
Plan layout of electric power generating plants and distribution lines and stations.
Use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
Collaborate with other engineers and construction personnel to ensure project completion by the specified deadline.
Inspect installations and observe operations to ensure compliance with design and equipment specifications and safety standards.
Oversee project production efforts to assure projects are completed satisfactorily, on time and within budget.
Monitor and resolve various electrical engineering issues and problems during the project.
