Empathy Talent is partnering with an early-stage technology company developing connected sensing and monitoring products for critical power and industrial equipment. The client is moving from validated technology into broader field deployment and commercialization, building hardware and connected systems designed to improve how electrical assets are monitored and maintained.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 0-3 years of relevant industry, research, internship, or project experience.
  • Strong foundation in electrical engineering, embedded systems, instrumentation, or related product development.
  • Hands-on experience integrating, testing, and debugging sensors, embedded hardware, networking, and connected systems.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 20-30% for customer deployments and field testing.

Responsibilities

  • Support integration, bring-up, testing, validation, and troubleshooting of sensors, embedded hardware, and connected systems.
  • Assemble, configure, and validate pilot and early-production systems while helping improve build and test processes.
  • Work across hardware, firmware, software, and data systems to troubleshoot integration issues and improve product performance.
  • Deploy and commission systems at utility, energy, data center, manufacturing, and other industrial sites.
  • Configure field devices, networking, connectivity, and supporting data infrastructure.
  • Perform system testing, signal validation, diagnostics, and root-cause analysis during development and field deployment.
  • Serve as a technical point of contact during customer installation, onboarding, commissioning, and post-deployment support.
  • Translate field results and customer feedback into product, reliability, and deployment improvements.
  • Help establish repeatable testing, deployment, documentation, and quality processes as the product scales.
