Electrical Engineer Co-Op Summer '26

Acutronic Group is looking for an Electrical Engineer Co-Op to join our team in Pittsburgh, PA. This role offers hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment alongside global market leaders.

Acutronic employs approximately 300 employees across multiple international sites, and our Simulation & Test Division is a global leader in inertial guidance test systems and motion simulators used by aerospace, defense, automotive, and consumer electronics industries.

Responsibilities
  • Perform basic engineering design, development, analysis, experimentation, test, and/or product assurance tasks of limited complexity for assigned portions of a project, ensuring tasks meet cost, quality, schedule, and performance requirements.
  • Analyze and interpret design specifications, drawings, documentation, models, and test results to ensure technical designs comply with applicable engineering standards, military specifications, and product requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and isolate system‑level problems discovered during test activities or production, determine root causes, and recommend near‑term workarounds.
  • Provide support for multiple projects by working closely with the engineering team.
  • Evaluate, select, and apply standard technical techniques, procedures, and criteria, using judgment for minor adaptations and modifications.
Qualifications

  • Understanding of engineering concepts and fundamentals.
  • Ability to work independently as well as participate as part of a team.
  • Multi‑tasking ability and keen attention to detail.
  • Completed at least two years of study at an accredited college or university.
  • Successfully completed engineering courses with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.
  • Excellent computer skills.
Position Type / Physical Demands
  • Full‑time: 9/80 or 10/4 schedule.
  • Work generally performed in an office environment.
