Job summary

Boston Dynamics in Waltham, MA is seeking an Electrical Engineering Co-Op to join the Atlas Electrical Engineering team to design, build, and troubleshoot compact electrical systems in robots. You will collaborate with mechanical and software engineers on circuit boards and electromechanical subassemblies.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, can read schematics, and are proficient with Python or MATLAB.

Qualifications

• Actively pursuing a BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or a similar field.
• Familiarity with reading schematics and circuit fundamentals.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Experience with Python or MATLAB.
• Experience working hands-on with electronics and lab equipment (oscilloscopes, power supplies, multimeters, soldering).
• Nice to have: schematic capture/PCB layout software, microcontrollers, power electronics.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design, prototyping, and testing of circuit boards and electromechanical subassemblies.
• Troubleshoot and root cause electrical and systems problems in robotic systems.

Base pay will depend on multiple individualized factors including, but not limited to internal equity, job related knowledge, skills and experience.
