Job summary

National Carwash Solutions in Grimes, IA is seeking an Electrical Engineer Co-Op to support product development through electrical design, analysis, prototyping, testing and documentation. The Electrical Engineer Co-Op will work onsite for 40 hours per week, starting January 2027 through May 2027.

You will analyze projects, design test fixtures, evaluate equipment for modifications, and assist manufacturing and service with troubleshooting while collaborating with multiple departments to bring

Qualifications

• Sophomore, junior or senior pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Comfortable with electrical wiring and components.
• Knowledge of PCB design, Arduino, or Raspberry Pi is a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Organized and effective time management.
• Self-directed with problem solving.
• Lifelong learner and eager to learn new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Analyze assigned projects to develop strategies for completion, including establishing plans, goals, and objectives.
• Design and build test fixtures

• Assist manufacturing and service personnel with troubleshooting
• Work hands-on with engineering and shop personnel in equipment development
• Work independently and with others to design products for potential market release
• Support R&D of product innovation
• Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments

The Electrical Engineer Co-Op will support product development through a variety of duties including electrical design, analysis, prototyping, testing and documentation. The Electrical Engineer Co-Op will work an estimated 40 hours per week onsite and the dates will be approximately from Jan. 2027- May 2027.

What You'll Do…

What You Need…

• Candidate in Sophomore, Junior or Senior year
• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related degree

• Knowledge of PCB's (printed circuit board) design, Arduino, or Raspberry PI a plus
