Job summary

HDR is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our Building Engineering Services in California (Walnut Creek or Folsom). You will lead electrical design for diverse facilities, coordinate with multidiscipline teams, and develop drawings, specs, and calculations from planning through construction.

The role requires a PE license or eligibility, a Bachelor’s in Electrical or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis, and proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SKM, AGI, and Easy Power.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis.
• Requires professional engineering license (PE) or licensure eligibility in the position's location.
• Previous experience in electrical design of buildings (lighting/power/systems) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design for institutional/industrial facilities from planning through construction document phase.
• Coordinate with multidiscipline design teams and review electrical documents for conflicts.
• Develop construction drawings, specifications, and calculations; review shop drawings and perform site verification.
