Job summary

Greenman-Pedersen, Inc. (GPI) seeks an Electrical Engineer to design electrical building systems for diverse facilities across the United States.

You will prepare calculations, specifications, and construction documents, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-performance, energy-efficient solutions. In this role, you will mentor junior staff and contribute to innovative designs that meet industry codes and client goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience designing electrical systems for buildings.
• Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, electrical codes, and industry standards.
• EIT certification preferred; PE license or ability to obtain is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical building systems for diverse facilities (commercial, institutional, industrial, healthcare, educational, government).
• Prepare electrical calculations, specifications, construction documents, and reports.
• Develop power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, low-voltage, and life safety designs.
• Coordinate with mechanical, plumbing, structural, architectural, and civil teams.
• Participate in client meetings, field investigations, and construction administration activities.
• Mentor junior engineers and designers to support project delivery.
