Job summary

Coffman Engineers in Boise, Idaho is seeking an Electrical Engineer with 5+ years of consulting experience to join our growing Boise office. You will develop electrical design deliverables, coordinate with owners and design partners, and mentor junior staff while contributing to Coffman's regional growth.

This role offers a mix of independent and collaborative work, performing calculations, site visits, and leading project tasks across healthcare, education, manufacturing, and federal projects.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• PE license preferred; candidates actively pursuing licensure encouraged to apply.
• 5+ years of consulting electrical engineering experience.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Revit; knowledge of IBC and NEC standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical design deliverables (drawings, specs, calculations, studies, reports).
• Prepare and review site plans, one-line diagrams, lighting/power plans, equipment schedules.
• Conduct site visits to collect data and verify conditions.
• Coordinate with owners/clients and design partners; communicate updates with Revit/AutoCAD teams.
