Job summary

The Judge Group, INC. is seeking an Electrical Engineer with food manufacturing experience to support capital projects and enhance electrical, automation and controls systems across its Texas processing plants.

Relocation is available if needed. The position offers a competitive salary of $110k–$140k with a 25% bonus and comprehensive benefits after 60 days.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering required.
• 5 years of related electrical engineering experience required.
• Experience supporting capital projects for power, distribution, automation and controls in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Support capital projects and improve electrical, automation and controls systems across processing plants.
• Collaborate with contractors and internal teams on plans, specs, bid documents, RFIs and site installation.
• Lead root cause / failure mode analysis to reduce maintenance spend.

Job description

A growing food company is currently searching for an Electrical Engineer with food manufacturing experience to support capital projects and improve electrical, automation and controls systems across its processing plants.

Salary range for this position is $110k–$140k plus 25% bonus.

Medical, Dental and Vision offered to qualified candidates after 60 days.

This is NOT a remote position. It will be based at one of the company’s Texas plants, multiple locations. Relocation is available if needed.

Qualifications & Requirements

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering required
• 5 years of related electrical engineering experience required
• Experience supporting capital projects for power, distribution, automation and controls in a manufacturing environment
• Thorough knowledge of the NEC and related codes; able to apply voltage drop, conductor sizing and conduit fill calculations
• Ability to read and work from one-line diagrams, drawings, wiring schematics and panel schedules
• Experience with transformers, switchboards, distribution panelboards, MCCs and automation systems
• Familiarity with AutoCAD
• Strong problem-solving skills; able to lead root cause / failure mode analysis to reduce maintenance spend
• Ability to work with contractors and outside engineering firms on plans, specs, bid documents, RFIs and site installation
• Self-starter who can work with Engineering, Maintenance, Operations and Finance
• Food manufacturing experience is a plus
