Job summary

The Judge Group is seeking an Electrical Engineer with food manufacturing experience to support capital projects and improve electrical, automation and controls systems across its processing plants in Texas. This on-site role offers a salary range of $110,000 to $140,000 annually plus a 25% bonus, relocation assistance if needed, and comprehensive benefits.

A BS or MS in Electrical Engineering and at least five years of relevant experience are required, with NEC familiarity and AutoCAD skills

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of electrical engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of NEC and related codes; ability to apply voltage drop, conductor sizing and conduit fill calculations.
• Experience reading and working from one-line diagrams, drawings, wiring schematics and panel schedules.
• Ability to lead root cause / failure mode analysis to reduce maintenance spend.
• Experience working with contractors and outside engineering firms on plans, specs, bid documents, RFIs and site installation.

Responsibilities

• Support capital projects for power, distribution, automation and controls across processing plants.
• Improve electrical, automation and controls systems for efficiency and reliability.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, Operations and Finance teams.
• Lead root cause analyses and implement corrective actions to reduce downtime.

Salary: $110,000.00 USD Annually - $140,000.00 USD Annually

Description

A growing food company is currently searching for an Electrical Engineer with food manufacturing experience to support capital projects and improve electrical, automation and controls systems across its processing plants.

In return, the company offers a good starting salary, excellent benefits and relocation if needed.

Salary range for this position is $110k–$140k plus 25% bonus. Medical, Dental and Vision offered to qualified candidates after 60 days.

This is NOT a remote position. It will be based at one of the company’s Texas plants, multiple locations. Relocation is available if needed.

Qualifications & Requirements

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering required


• 5 years of related electrical engineering experience required


• Experience supporting capital projects for power, distribution, automation and controls in a manufacturing environment


• Thorough knowledge of the NEC and related codes; able to apply voltage drop, conductor sizing and conduit fill calculations


• Ability to read and work from one-line diagrams, drawings, wiring schematics and panel schedules


• Experience with transformers, switchboards, distribution panelboards, MCCs and automation systems


• Familiarity with AutoCAD


• Strong problem-solving skills; able to lead root cause / failure mode analysis to reduce maintenance spend


• Ability to work with contractors and outside engineering firms on plans, specs, bid documents, RFIs and site installation


• Self-starter who can work with Engineering, Maintenance, Operations and Finance


• Food manufacturing experience is a plus
