Job summary

Garver’s Frisco, Texas office is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join the ERI team, focusing on facility, building, and airport-related design and construction support. You will work on power, lighting, controls, and related systems, with opportunities to cross-train between facility and aviation tasks.

The role requires a BS in Electrical Engineering, 2–5 years in power design, and strong communication skills; occasional travel to project sites will be needed as projects progress.

Qualifications

  • BS in Electrical Engineering from ABET accredited school.
  • 2-5 years relevant experience in power system design.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including strong written communication.
  • Experience AutoCAD, REVIT, and/or Civil 3D.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently or collaboratively.

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed design and specification documents for facilities, including one-line diagrams, power plans, lighting plans, and design calculations.
  • Perform power system analyses using specialized software and develop reports with findings and recommendations.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines, Garver offices, regulators, cost estimating, and QA/QC.
  • Assist team leader with scheduling, multi‑project management, budgets, and delivering quality work.
  • Occasional regional travel for site assessments and construction support (10–20%).
