Snap-on is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design, develop and support production equipment, automated systems, tooling, and manufacturing processes. A background in electrical engineering is preferred, with emphasis on automation and controls; candidates with mechanical or manufacturing backgrounds and automation experience will also be considered.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of electrical engineering principles and their application to manufacturing equipment and processes.
• Experience with manufacturing equipment, automation, controls, fixtures, tooling, and process development.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills involving electrical, mechanical, controls, software, and manufacturing processes.
• Programming experience with C and/or C#.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and/or MySQL.
• Experience with Altium Designer and familiarity with Creo Parametric.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support production equipment, automation, fixtures, and tooling.
• Develop manufacturing processes and production controls for new and existing products.
• Troubleshoot and improve electrical, mechanical, controls, software, and process-related issues.
• Develop and support manufacturing applications and databases using C, C#, SQL Server, and MySQL.
• Develop electrical/electronic designs using Altium Designer.
• Specify, install, set up, and commission new or modified production equipment.
• Work closely with Production, Quality, and Design Engineering to resolve manufacturing issues.
• Develop operating procedures and provide technical training as required.
• Manage assigned engineering projects from concept through implementation.
• Drive continuous improvement activities to improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost.
