Tronox is seeking an Electrical Engineer, Asset Improvement, at the Hamilton, Mississippi site. The role focuses on executing strategic asset programs for control systems, electrical, and instrumentation, supporting projects and applying standard technical problem-solving methods.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and 2+ years in an industrial setting, with PM experience and knowledge of high voltage systems. Local candidates preferred.

About the Role

The Electrical Engineer, Asset Improvement will execute strategic asset programs, (e.g. control systems, electrical and instrumentation) and support of projects. Undertakes assignments of varying scope and complexity involving a range of standard technical problem solving techniques and computational methods.

About You
Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering is required.
  • Minimum of 2years of electrical engineering experience in an industrial environment.
  • Project Management Experience
  • Experience in industrial / chemical facility is preferred
  • Experience with TiO2 production process / chemical manufacturing / electrical utility / heavy industry, is preferred
  • Electrical Code and Power Systems Knowledge
  • Experience working with high voltage/current systems (up to 480Vac / 2400Vac / 13.2kV).
  • Asset Life Cycle Management
  • Practice of Reliability Engineering
  • Exceptional human relations skills are required.
  • Energy Analysis and Conservation Experience
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
  • MX or above on most recent evaluation, with no active corrective action documentation in the past year

Physical Requirements

  • Must be clean-shaven in areas where facial hair would interfere with the proper fit and seal of a respirator. This includes no beards, goatees, mustaches that extend below the top lip or excessive sideburns.
  • Occasionally ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, etc. and moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments
  • Occasional prolonged periods of remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Constantly walking long distances from one worksite to another and working in outdoor weather conditions
  • Occasionally lifting or moving objects up to 20 pounds in all directions
