Bowman in Houston, TX seeks an Electrical Engineer across levels to lead and mentor within the electrical discipline. You will drive project delivery, provide technical oversight, and engage with stakeholders while advancing engineering strategies.

Responsibilities span sizing, design reviews, and coordination across design, procurement, construction, and commissioning. Strong industry code knowledge and communications skills are required to excel.

Qualifications

• 4-10+ years experience, depending on level
• Professional Engineer licensure preferred
• Extensive knowledge of electrical engineering principles
• Advanced proficiency in electrical engineering software and tools
• Ability to interpret and create drawings, schematics, and specs
• Strong knowledge of power distribution and control systems
• Understanding of industry codes and best practices
• Ability to develop electrical engineering standards and guidelines

The Position:

As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a key leadership role in advancing our electrical engineering discipline. You will provide technical expertise, project oversight, and mentorship while driving innovation and ensuring excellence in project delivery. At higher levels, this role also involves project coordination, shaping engineering strategies, and guiding stakeholder engagement.

Position Responsibilities:

All Levels

• Perform equipment sizing & selection, alternative analyses, and other deliverables
• Support the engineering, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning of facilities
• Present engineering and design deliverables to project members, cross-functional teams, senior leadership, external vendors, clients, and other stakeholders
• Plan, forecast, and actualize deliverable progress to support project reporting and schedule requirements
• Identify scope changes and estimate impact to effort and schedule
• Prepare, review, and approve electrical equipment, conduit, and wiring calculations, requisitions, lists, studies, reports, BOMs, and designs

Level IV

• Support proposal efforts by evaluating RFP scope, identifying list of deliverables, and estimating effort required
• Participate in project scoping and estimation
• Lead in a senior role, providing strategic direction, technical oversight, and mentorship to the electrical engineering discipline
• Work is highly independent

Level V

• All responsibilities of level IV
• Monitor progress and performance against the project plan
• Provide input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility
• Participate in stakeholder management, Fit/Gap analysis, and needs analysis
• Lead at the highest discipline level, managing the electrical engineering team, overseeing design and implementation of electrical systems, strategic planning, project coordination, and providing expertise and guidance
• Work Autonomously

Qualifications:

• 4 - 10+ Years experience, depending on the level of the position
• Professional Engineer licensure (PE) preferred
• Extensive knowledge and expertise in electrical engineering principles and practices
• Advanced proficiency in electrical engineering software and tools
• Ability to interpret and create technical drawings, schematics, and specifications
• In-depth understanding of power distribution, control systems, and electrical equipment
• Strong knowledge of industry codes, regulations, and best practices
• Ability to develop and implement electrical engineering standards and guidelines
