Job summary

Anduril is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our Costa Mesa HQ, working on core product development for advanced electro-mechanical systems including optics, batteries, actuators, controls, and sensors. The role emphasizes ownership, hands-on execution, and collaboration with cross-disciplinary teams.

Candidates should have 3+ years electrical/design experience, strong PCB/ECAD skills, and the ability to read schematics, with eligibility for a U.S. Top Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Experience on immersive engineering projects or professional teams.
• Demonstrated leadership in projects or work settings.
• 3+ years of electrical/design experience in industry.
• PCB design and any ECAD experience (Altium, KiCad, etc).
• Hands-on prototyping, soldering and board assembly.
• Familiar with controls, robotics or motor/servo drive concepts.
• Reading and manipulating schematics, wiring diagrams, layouts.
• Strong engineering first-principles approach and organization.

Responsibilities

• Execute rapid evaluation of engineering concepts across diverse fields.
• Identify partners and manage early vendor relationships.
• Perform trade studies and physics-based analysis.
• Design, implement, and test complex electro-mechanical systems.
• Lead design reviews and hardware test plans.
• Build prototypes, analyze failures, and transition to production.
• Support hardware demonstrations with customers; travel as needed.
• Wear many hats and take ownership of systems end-to-end.
