Job summary

Olin is seeking an Electrical Engineer Co-Op for a 6-month rotation at McIntosh, AL. You must be enrolled in an undergraduate Electrical Engineering program with a 3.0 GPA or higher and will support maintenance and production, focusing on instrumentation and electrical systems.

The role requires leading projects, providing reliability leadership, and contributing to preventative/predictive maintenance. On-site work only; housing stipend is available and TWIC plus a US driver’s license are

• GPA 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale at all times.
• Official transcript required each term; GPA used for transfer situations.
• Sophomore year completed (60 credits) prior to first rotation.
• Full-time availability (40 hours/week) during rotation; no virtual work.
• TWIC required and valid US driver's license.
• Olin sponsorship not provided; must be legally authorized to work in the US.

Electrical Engineer 6-Month Co-Op (June-December)

Focus

The Electrical Engineer Co-Op supports maintenance and production with reliability, design, and maintenance of instrumentation and electrical systems to ensure safe and efficient operations. This role can serve as the engineering representative on small capital projects including justification, obtaining approval, ordering, and installation processes and equipment.

What You'll Do

• Lead a minimum of three hands-on projects throughout the term, to be defined at the beginning of the rotation based on department and business need.
• Provide reliability leadership for instruments, valves, and electrical systems, including troubleshooting and data analysis.
• Support maintenance in development of policies and procedures for preventative and predictive maintenance.
• Participate in plant turnarounds, update P&IDs, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

What You'll Bring

• Enrolled at an accredited college or university majoring in an undergraduate Electrical Engineering degree program.
• Must have an overall grade point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale at all times throughout your time at Olin.
• An official transcript will be required each term. Cumulative GPA on current institution transcript will be used in transfer college situations.
• Must have completed sophomore year (or 60 completed credit hours) prior to first rotation with Olin.
• Ability to work full-time (40 hours a week during normal business hours) during rotation; Not eligible for virtual work.
• Must be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) and possess a valid US Driver's license.
