Job summary

Astrion is seeking an Electrical Engineer at Redstone Arsenal, AL, to support the RTES Contract for the IDAP Division. The role focuses on airborne instrumentation systems integration, real-time data monitoring, and test planning across multiple aviation platforms.

The incumbent will lead data quality assessment, participate in flight test operations, and document developments for developmental and operational tests, maintaining a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Electrical Engineering degree from an ABET-accredited school or a degree in an applicable technical specialty.
• 9+ years of aircraft/aircraft systems/aircraft instrumentation testing experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance (U.S. citizenship required).

Responsibilities

• Senior electrical engineer in airborne instrumentation systems integration for US Army RTCC/Redstone Test Center.
• Plan, execute, monitor data quality in real-time, analyze data, and report test results for developmental/operational tests on aviation platforms.
• Contribute to and document flight operations and flight test developments.

Overview Electrical Engineer LOCATION: Redstone Arsenal, AL JOB STATUS: Full-time CLEARANCE: Ability to Obtain Secret TRAVEL: ~10% Astrion has an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Engineer for the Redstone Test and Engineering Support (RTES) Contract, supporting the IDAP Division.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

• Electrical Engineering degree from an ABET-accredited school or a degree in an applicable technical specialty.
• 9+ yrs experience in aircraft/aircraft systems/aircraft instrumentation (e.g., flight control, displays, radar, communication/navigation, airframe) testing.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance (U.S. Citizenship is required for all applicants)

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

• Ability to read and create electrical schematics.
• Ability to create or modify Pulse Code Modulation (PCM) data streams.
• Working knowledge of programming numerical systems such as Binary, Hexadecimal, Octal, etc.
• Working knowledge of how to interface with, and record data from, military aviation platforms.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Incumbent will serve as a senior electronical engineer in the field of airborne instrumentation systems integration for the U.S. Army Test & Evaluation Command, Redstone Test Center.
• Responsible for planning, execution, real-time data quality monitoring, data analysis, and reporting for developmental and/or operational tests of system integrations on various aviation weapon system platforms.
• Contributing to and documenting flight operations and flight test developments.
