Job summary

HKA Enterprises is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer for a remote role focused on data center and mission-critical facilities. You will design complex power systems, review packages, and help deliver construction documents, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

You will lead a team of Electrical Engineers, mentor staff, and help manage quality, scope, budget, and schedule across fast-paced projects including Data Center and AI Factory initiatives.

Qualifications

Job description

This remote role supports electrical engineering, design, and construction for data centers and other mission-critical facilities. You will develop complex industrial-facility power systems, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, review design packages, and help deliver construction documents.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design medium and low-voltage distribution systems, building electrical systems, and campus-style power distribution, including conveyance.
• Engineer and design facility power distribution, UPS, emergency systems, grounding, lighting, and low-voltage communications systems for complex industrial facilities.
• Support Data Center, AI Factory, and other mission-critical facility projects, including retrofits of existing building systems.
• Establish design requirements, contribute to technical collaboration, perform quality reviews, and produce construction documents.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and interact with clients, owners, and contractors to assist construction on site as needed.
• Help manage quality, scope, budget, and schedule.
• Lead a team of Electrical Engineers and contribute to a fast-paced, dynamic, collaborative environment.
• Participate in mentorship and career-development opportunities.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• At least 6 years of experience in engineering design of medium and low-voltage distribution systems, building electrical systems, and campus-style power distribution, including conveyance.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Extensive knowledge of and experience with industrial facility design.
• Working knowledge of Revit or BIM software.
• Solid working knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC).
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and embrace new challenges.
• Ability to lead a team of Electrical Engineers.
• Experience with Data Center or AI Factory projects.
