Job description

This position offers an opportunity to utilize and expand your academic background in Electrical Engineering through a professional role with diverse responsibilities.

You will collaborate with engineers and designers to improve nuclear plant electrical systems, including:

• Electrical systems design
• Preparation of complex calculations
• Load flow and short circuit analysis
• Power flow studies
• System impact assessments
• Cable ampacity calculations
• Preparation of design inputs and documentation
• Equipment and material specifications
• Design reports

Additional opportunities include:

• Training and mentorship from experienced engineers
• Involvement in power distribution design and procurement specifications
• Travel for design reviews, construction coordination, and field verification

Qualifications:

Required skills and experience:

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program, with a focus on power systems
• At least 1 year of experience in electrical system design within a project team
• Understanding of electrical engineering principles and their application to project design
• Knowledge of technical plans, drawings, and modeling tools
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong problem-solving abilities

Valued but not required:

• Experience with transient power system analysis software such as ETAP or SKM
