What You Will Do
Your responsibilities will include designing Industrial Power Distribution Panels, Industrial Control Panels, and implementing instrumentation and automation across a variety of HVACR projects, following standards and policies to ensure successful completion through the entire lifecycle.
How You Will Do It
- Responsible for design development throughout the project lifecycle
- Perform detailed reviews of electrical drawings and prepare construction work packages
- Execute electrical design calculations for Industrial Panel design, sizing, manufacturing, testing, commissioning, client support, and perform comprehensive power system studies using SKM software
- Create detailed project documentation (single line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, cable schedules, material bills) ensuring precision and completeness
- Analyze and troubleshoot electrical components
- Develop project deliverables such as single line diagrams, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Complete other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- APEGA Registered P.Eng. in good standing
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
- Related experience in Industrial Power Distribution and Controls panel design and electrical planning, including experienced design and implementation of electrical distribution, control, and instrumentation systems for diverse sectors (ideally with Modular Data Center projects and/or HVAC industrial systems)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical and EPLAN Electric P8 for design documentation
- Comprehensive understanding of safety, electrical, and building codes (e.g., CSA, IEEE, API, NFPA, OH&S)
- Ability to prepare scopes of work and construction work packages, focusing on LV electrical system reliability and preventive maintenance
- Competent in quality control activities, ensuring project deliverables meet industry codes and standards such as NEC and CEC
- Strong communication skills for technical concept explanation and monthly reporting on project achievements and areas for improvement
- Computer literacy, including solid Microsoft Office experience
- Commitment to continuous technical learning and personal development
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to travel to field worksite locations including domestic and occasional international travel
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $76,000–105,000 (Salary determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location, and market data). This position includes a competitive benefits package.
