Job summary

JGMS Government Services is seeking an electrical engineer to join a project team for on-site work in Niskayuna, NY. The role focuses on developing specifications, cost estimates, drawing reviews, and providing engineering support during construction for buildings and utility projects.

Responsibilities include overseeing architectural engineering firms, coordinating with facility staff and contractors, and ensuring compliance with codes and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of science in electrical engineering.
• 5-10+ years experience performing electrical engineering tasks including the development of contract documents, calculations, and cost estimates.
• Working knowledge of building codes and standards.
• Experience in construction administration (submittal review, RFI's, construction inspections, etc.).
• Ability to obtain DOE L security clearance.

Job Duties And Responsibilities

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor of science in electrical engineering.
• 5-10+ years experience performing electrical engineering tasks including the development of contract documents, calculations, and cost estimates.
• Working knowledge of building codes and standards.
• Experience in construction administration (submittal review, RFI's, construction inspections, etc.).
• Ability to obtain DOE L security clearance.

Desired Qualifications

• EIT certificate and/or PE license
• Engineering consulting experience
• Working knowledge of NEC

Security Clearance

Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE L security clearance.
