Job summary

Donohue & Associates is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead planning, design, and construction-related services for municipal water, wastewater, and stormwater projects. You will join diverse project teams and work with clients to solve complex technical challenges using proven solutions.

The role covers a broad scope including power distribution up to 34.5 kV, motor control, lighting, standby power, MCC design, and cost estimating.

Qualifications

• B.S., Electrical Engineering is required.
• PE registration is required.
• 4+ years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Handle all phases of electrical engineering for water, wastewater, and stormwater projects.
• Develop low to medium power distribution and MCC design.
• Prepare specifications and conduct construction cost estimating.
• Collaborate with multi-discipline project teams and clients.

We are seeking an electrical engineer with planning, design, and construction-related services experience. The ideal candidate enjoys interacting with clients and is a pragmatic problem solver capable of working through unique technical challenges and employing proven solutions to meet our clients’ needs.

As an integral member of our multiple discipline project teams, you will be involved with all phases of electrical engineering for water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure. This includes low and medium power distribution (through 34.5 kV), motor control, grounding and lightning protection, exterior and interior lighting, standby power generation systems, MCC design, specification writing, and construction cost estimating. You will have the opportunity to work on some of the largest municipal water/wastewater treatment facilities in the U.S. This position is open for any Donohue office location.

Requirements:

• B.S., Electrical Engineering
• PE registration
• 4+ years of related experience
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD; experience with MicroStation a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
