Job summary

Donohue & Associates is seeking an electrical engineer with planning, design, and construction-related services experience in Minnesota. You will contribute to projects for municipal water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure, including 34.5 kV distribution, fault analysis, lighting, and standby power systems.

The role requires a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, PE registration, and 4+ years of related experience, with strong AutoCAD skills and knowledge of MicroStation a plus.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering required.
• PE registration required.
• 4+ years of related experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD; MicroStation a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineering work for water, wastewater, and stormwater projects.
• Design through construction support, including cost estimating and specifications.
• Develop MCC designs and standby power generation solutions.
• Prepare cost estimates and coordinate with multi-discipline project teams.

We are seeking an electrical engineer with planning, design, and construction-related services experience. The ideal candidate enjoys interacting with clients and is a pragmatic problem solver capable of working through unique technical challenges and employing proven solutions to meet our clients’ needs.

As an integral member of our multiple discipline project teams, you will be involved with all phases of electrical engineering for water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure. This includes low and medium power distribution (through 34.5 kV), motor control, grounding and lightning protection, exterior and interior lighting, standby power generation systems, MCC design, specification writing, and construction cost estimating. You will have the opportunity to work on some of the largest municipal water/wastewater treatment facilities in the U.S. This position is open for any Donohue office location.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of related experience
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD; experience with MicroStation a plus
