Job summary

Donohue & Associates seeks an Electrical Engineer to join its multi-disciplinary teams, supporting water, wastewater, and stormwater projects across the country. You will contribute to planning, design, and construction activities, applying practical solutions to complex electrical systems.

The role involves low and medium voltage distribution, motor control, lighting, standby power, MCC design, specifications, and cost estimation, with opportunities at multiple office locations.

Qualifications

• B.S. Electrical Engineering is required.
• PE registration is required.
• 4+ years of related experience.
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD; MicroStation a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Involved with all phases of electrical engineering for water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure.
• Includes low and medium power distribution (through 34.5 kV), motor control, grounding and lightning protection, exterior and interior lighting, standby power generation systems, MCC design, specification writing, and construction cost estimating.
• Work with multi-discipline project teams and interact with clients.

We are seeking an electrical engineer with planning, design, and construction-related services experience. The ideal candidate enjoys interacting with clients and is a pragmatic problem solver capable of working through unique technical challenges and employing proven solutions to meet our clients’ needs.

As an integral member of our multiple discipline project teams, you will be involved with all phases of electrical engineering for water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure. This includes low and medium power distribution (through 34.5 kV), motor control, grounding and lightning protection, exterior and interior lighting, standby power generation systems, MCC design, specification writing, and construction cost estimating. You will have the opportunity to work on some of the largest municipal water/wastewater treatment facilities in the U.S. This position is open for any Donohue office location.

Requirements:
