Land O'Frost is seeking an Electrical Engineer to own automation at our Arkansas facility. You will serve as the electrical and controls expert, designing and troubleshooting PLC/HMI systems while partnering across Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, and Production to deliver automation solutions.

In this role you will lead capital projects, establish control standards, improve equipment reliability, and drive continuous improvement to safety, throughput, and performance.

Formación

• Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or related field.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in electrical controls and PLC programming.
• Experience in manufacturing environments and troubleshooting control systems.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced setting.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as the facility's SME for electrical controls and automation.

• Partner with Maintenance and Operations to resolve issues.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting for electrical and controls challenges.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and cost savings.
• Participate in continuous improvement focused on productivity and quality.

We are seeking a motivated engineer to join our Corporate Engineering team, where you'll serve as the electrical and controls expert at a manufacturing facility while partnering across the organization to deliver innovative automation solutions and capital projects.

This is an opportunity to move beyond day‑to‑day support and become a key technical leader responsible for automation ownership, controls standardization, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement initiatives. You'll collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to develop solutions that enhance safety, efficiency, and performance.

What You'll Do

• Serve as the facility's subject matter expert for electrical controls and automation systems
• Design, develop, program, and troubleshoot PLC and HMI systems
• Lead controls improvements that enhance equipment reliability, throughput, and safety
• Establish and support controls standardization initiatives across manufacturing operations
• Drive automation solutions that support long‑term business objectives

Capital Project Support

• Lead electrical and controls aspects of capital projects
• Develop control system architecture, specifications, and implementation plans
• Support equipment installations, upgrades, startups, and commissioning activities
• Collaborate with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project execution
• Partner closely with Maintenance and Operations teams to resolve equipment and process issues
• Provide advanced troubleshooting support for electrical and controls‑related challenges
• Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation enhancements, and cost savings
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, and operational excellence

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

• Work with Engineering, Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to improve plant performance
• Provide technical guidance and training related to controls and automation systems
• Support the development and implementation of engineering standards and best practices

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Automation Technology, or a related technical field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in:
• Electrical controls
• PLC programming
• Manufacturing environments
• Experience troubleshooting industrial electrical and control systems
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast‑paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Manufacturing or food manufacturing experience
• Experience with packaging automation and automated production equipment
• Knowledge of capital project execution and equipment commissioning
• Understanding of industrial networking, instrumentation, and control systems
