Qualifications

Role Description

The Electrical Engineer role at Solderable, Inc. is a full-time, on-site position based in San Francisco, CA. In this role, the Electrical Engineer will design, analyze, and validate electronic circuits and power systems used in PCB-based products and tools. Daily responsibilities include creating and reviewing schematics, collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize layouts, and integrating AI-driven workflows into electrical design processes. The Electrical Engineer will work closely with hardware, firmware, and manufacturing partners to ensure reliable, manufacturable, and cost-effective designs, while contributing to continuous improvement of Solderable’s design automation tools.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Electrical Engineering principles, including Electricity and circuit theory.
• Proficiency in Electrical Design for PCB-based systems, including schematic capture and layout review.
• Experience with Power Systems and Power Distribution design, analysis, and safety considerations.
• Familiarity with modern PCB design tools and workflows; exposure to automation or AI-driven tools is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to document designs and test results clearly.
• Comfort working in an on-site, fast-paced startup environment and adapting to evolving priorities.
