Job summary

WHB Engineers is seeking an Electrical Engineer with 5+ years of experience to join our Southern California offices. The ideal candidate will be organized, communicate well, work independently, and contribute positively to the business. A PE license in California or active pursuit of one is preferred.

Responsibilities include design of projects, preparing proposals and schedules, and assisting in project management to keep scope on track and on budget. AutoCAD proficiency is required.

Qualifications

The Opportunity

We are looking for an Electrical Engineer (EE) with five years or more years of experience. The ideal candidate for this opportunity is organized, has strong communication skills, can work independently with minimal supervision, is team-oriented and personable, and has a strong desire to make a positive contribution to the business. This position requires a well-organized, versatile individual with experience in electrical engineering design and project management. Candidates should either have a Professional Engineer (PE) license in California or be in the process of obtaining one.

Must be located in Southern California.

Responsibilities:

• Design of projects
• Preparation of proposals and fee estimates
• Development of work plans and schedules
• Assist in the management of projects to ensure they are on schedule, within budget, and meet the requirements of our clients
• Perform studies, calculations, designs, and preparation of plans and reports in accordance with project requirements and engineering standards

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
• More than five years of practical work experience
• Experience with electrical engineering and an understanding of electrical building codes is required
• California Electrical Professional Engineer (PE) License or actively pursuing a California PE License if licensed in a different state
• Experience with AutoCAD
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills, including an ability to interact professionally and knowledgeably with clients
• Solid experience with the MS Office Suite
