Job summary

gpac is partnering with an industry leader in equipment manufacturing seeking an innovative Electrical Design Engineer. You will design electrical systems, develop PCB schematics, ensure DFM, testing, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to move products from prototype to production.

You will contribute to manufacturability, reliability, and continuous improvement while working with a team of engineers on cutting-edge products aimed at scalable production.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical design, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Proficiency with industry-standard CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, Altium Designer, OrCAD, or SolidWorks Electrical).
  • Strong understanding of DFM principles, PCB fabrication, and electronic testing methodologies.
  • Ability to utilize simulation tools, perform statistical methods (e.g., FMEA), and conduct thorough failure analysis.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Product Development: Design and develop electrical schematics, control systems, wiring harnesses, and PCB layouts.
  • Design for Manufacturability (DFM): Optimize electrical designs for production efficiency, cost reduction, and high assembly yields.
  • Prototyping & Testing: Build, test, and troubleshoot electrical prototypes, develop test fixtures, and analyze performance data.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), assembly drawings, and technical documentation.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with mechanical and manufacturing engineers to integrate electrical components into broader product designs.
  • Production Support: Support legacy and new product lines by evaluating component obsolescence, root-cause failure analysis, and continuous quality improvements.
  • Compliance: Ensure all electrical designs adhere to industry safety standards and regulatory requirements.
