Job summary

gpac is assisting a reputable civil engineering firm in the Sacramento area in their search for a Senior Electrical Engineer. The candidate will lead electrical design for urban projects, collaborating with staff engineers and other disciplines to deliver high-quality outcomes.

The role requires strong expertise in building electrical systems (lighting, power, communications, fire alarm) and a minimum of 10 years in the field. A P.E. license is preferred and AutoCAD/Revit skills are advantageous.

Qualifications

• P.E. licensure is preferred.
• BS degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 10+ years of electrical engineering experience.
• AutoCAD and Revit experience is a plus.
• Expertise in building electrical design (lighting, power distribution, communications, fire alarm).

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineer for multi-discipline projects through all phases.
• Perform electrical design tasks and calculations for building systems.
• Coordinate project electrical requirements with clients and consultants (in-house and external).
• Perform code reviews.
• Provide drafting tasks and oversight to EITs.
• Establish and maintain electrical fees and budgeting for projects.
• Work independently and in teams to develop concepts, designs, drawings, specifications, and reports.

What You Will Do:

• Function as lead electrical engineer for multi-discipline projects, through all phases of process
• Perform electrical design tasks and calculations for the electrical designs aspects of buildings
• Coordinating project electrical requirements with each client as well as consultants both in-houst and outside
• Performcode reviews
• Be able to provide drafting tasks as well as oversight assigned to EITs
• Establish and maintain electrical fees and provide budgeting for assigned projects
• Work independently as well as in a multi-discipline team working closely to develop concepts, strategies, designs, drawings, specifications, and reports

Compensation/Benefits:
