Job summary

Framatome North America is seeking an engineer in Richland, WA to perform standard design, development, and analysis tasks, including field support and quality-event resolution. You will follow standards and use CAD modeling and programming skills under mentorship to implement automation solutions.

Preferred candidates hold a Bachelor's in Engineering with exposure to control systems, with strong fundamentals in instrumentation, PLCs, and HMI/FactoryTalk environments.

What You'll Do Day-To-Day

• Perform standard engineering assignments typically in areas of design, development, analysis, evaluation, testing, preparation of specifications, execution of field tasks, resolution of field problems, and resolution of quality events.
• Develop awareness of government regulations, organization, industry and customer engineering standards with support of senior staff.
• Under a mentor's guidance, evaluate, select and apply standard techniques, procedures, and criteria using judgement in making minor adaptations and modifications.

Preferred Skills:

• Interface/operate/program industrial PLCs - specifically Allen-Bradley (aka Rockwell Automation): Fluid with ladder logic, ControlLogix, HMI, FactoryTalk applications.
• Knowledge of industrial automation, instrumentation, and controls: Servo drives, PID tuning, Robotics, Flow, Temperature, Pressure, Analytical Devices, Measurement, Vision.
• Able to assist in the design of automation control systems toward the applicable electrical standards, human factors, installation.
• Oversee field work including new control system installations, functional checkout, integration into existing systems, and troubleshooting.

What You'll Bring

• Salary: $86,000 - $91,000, and may also include annual incentives and performance bonuses. The base salary range is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
