Job summary

Actalent is seeking an Electrical Engineer II to support manufacturing operations in Plano, TX. You will develop and maintain electrical test systems, automate production equipment, and drive process improvements in a regulated environment.

The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality, equipment reliability, and regulatory compliance. This onsite position emphasizes hands-on troubleshooting, data-driven improvements, and end-to-end testing support.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience supporting manufacturing operations in regulated environments.
  • Experience with automated test equipment, data acquisition systems, or manufacturing testers.
  • Proficiency with oscilloscopes, multimeters, and diagnostic tools.
  • Familiarity with electrical schematics and circuit troubleshooting.
  • Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

Job Description

The Manufacturing Electrical Engineer II will support manufacturing operations through the development, maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of electrical test systems, automated equipment, and manufacturing processes. This individual will collaborate closely with production, quality, and cross-functional engineering teams to ensure product quality, equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and compliance with applicable quality system requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong electrical engineering experience, as well as experience supporting manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities
  • Support day-to-day manufacturing operations by troubleshooting electrical and automated production equipment.
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize electrical test systems and manufacturing processes.

Essential Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • 3-5 years of experience supporting manufacturing operations in a regulated or high-volume production environment.
  • Experience with automated test equipment (ATE), data acquisition systems, or manufacturing testers.
  • Proficiency in using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other diagnostic tools.
  • Familiarity with electrical schematics and circuit troubleshooting.
  • Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in the medical device, pharmaceutical, biotech, or other regulated manufacturing industries.
  • Experience with equipment validation, qualification, or process validation activities.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with PLCs, automation controls, and manufacturing data analysis.
Work Environment

The role supports a regulated or high-volume production environment, working closely with cross-functional teams to enhance manufacturing processes. The candidate will utilize diagnostic tools such as oscilloscopes and multimeters, and will need to be familiar with quality systems compliance. The environment encourages collaboration and continuous improvement.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Plano, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $37.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
