NAVAIR is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join the Propulsion & Power Engineering Department, Power & Energy Division. The role focuses on serving as the authoritative expert for Electrical Power and Wiring Systems in aviation, providing technical leadership to program managers and staff, and representing the Navy in technical forums.

The position emphasizes advocacy, assessment of advanced concepts, and contribution to system SETRs, with responsibilities including preparing weekly activity

• You will provide leadership, direction and definitive authoritative technical advice to program managers and ST members in all stages of development and support.
• You will provide subject matter expertise in the application of advanced concepts, principles, equipment and/or test and evaluation techniques for aircraft Electrical Power and Wiring Systems.
• You will represent the NAVY at technical, governmental, inter-governmental and industrial organizations and make statements of policy for the NAVY as appropriate in regards to aircraft Electrical Power and Wiring Systems.
• You will attend component, subsystem and system SETRs to provide grey-beard review of programs.
• You will create and maintain weekly situational summaries for the Power and Energy Division.

You will serve as a ELECTRICAL ENGINEER in the Propulsion & Power Engineering Department, Power & Energy Division of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

• You will act as the subject matter expert and recognized authority (national and international) for matters pertaining to Electrical Power and Wiring Systems.
• You will provide leadership, direction and definitive authoritative technical advice to all program managers and and ST members in all stages of development and support.
• You will provide subject matter expertise in the application of advanced concepts, principles, equipment and/or test and evaluation techniques for aircraft Electrical Power and Wiring Systems.
