Position Overview
The Electrical Engineer will support design of building power distribution systems and lighting systems under guidance of senior engineers. Entry-Level Engineers will focus on design production using Revit and AutoCAD, supporting senior engineers in developing construction documents. This is a scalable role designed to align responsibilities with experience and licensure progression.
Key Responsibilities
Electrical System Design
- Design electrical power distribution systems including normal and emergency power, panels, feeders, and equipment layouts.
- Perform lighting design including photometric layouts, fixture selection, and lighting controls.
- Develop single-line diagrams, panel schedules, load calculations, and circuiting plans.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (NEC, IECC, local jurisdictions).
- Develop construction drawings using Revit and AutoCAD for electrical power and lighting systems.
- Assist in preparing design documents including plans, details, and specifications.
- Support load calculations, panel schedules, and equipment sizing.
- Coordinate with architects and other engineering disciplines to integrate electrical systems into building models.
Construction Phase Support
- Provide construction administration support including submittal reviews and RFI responses.
- Conduct site visits and assist in resolving field issues.
- Coordinate with contractors and project stakeholders during installation and commissioning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Entry-Level: 0–3 years of experience in electrical design.
- Experience with Revit and/or AutoCAD preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.
