Insight Global’s data center client is seeking an Electrical Engineer who will act as the technical authority across electrical systems, partnering closely with construction leads and design consultants to drive projects from design through execution. Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of experience in project engineering with electrical background.
• Strong construction background with full project lifecycle exposure.
• Expertise in complex electrical systems: HV substation, electrical distribution system, MV switchgear, UPS, high reliable systems

Responsibilities

• Lead design phase through IFC and page turns; coordinate technical reviews.
• Review RFIs and submittals; ensure quality control.
• Perform field walks and on-site verification of electrical systems.
• Own the technical success of long-duration, complex projects in data center environments.

Insight Global’s data center client is seeking a Electrical Engineer who will act as the technical authority across electrical systems, partnering closely with construction leads and design consultants to drive projects from design through execution. The role focuses heavily on design phase leadership, including page turns, RFI and submittal review, quality control, and field walks. The ideal candidate brings a strong construction background, deep MEP expertise, and the ability to provide thought leadership across cross‑functional teams while owning the technical success of complex, long‑duration projects.

Pay rate: $70-85/hr, dependent on experience

Skills and Requirements

• 3-5+ years of experience in project engineering with electrical background
• Strong construction background with full project lifecycle exposure
• Expertise in complex electrical systems: HV substation, electrical distribution system, MV switchgear, UPS, high reliable systems
• Engineering degree or equivalent experience
• Hands‑on experience reviewing RFIs and submittals
• Ability to lead through design phase (30%–IFC)
• Mission-critical, semiconductor, power plant, gas/oil, utility, hyperscale or colocation data center, industrial, or manufacturing background
• Comfortable leading cross‑functional teams
