Job summary

HukariAscendent is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer for a 12-month hybrid role in Oak Ridge, TN. You will design, review, and support electrical systems (480V and below) for site infrastructure and new construction, with field visits and on-site evaluations.

A DOE Q clearance is required; five+ years of relevant experience and an industrial power background are preferred. This full-time role offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities to work on critical DOE/NNSA projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide electrical design, design review, and design recovery support for site infrastructure and new construction projects.
• Work on mainline primary power and facility/building electrical systems (480V and below) with electronics as minor focus.
• Conduct field visits to assess existing electrical configurations and perform discipline-specific calculations.
• Develop technical specifications, drawings, constructability and operability reviews, and communications with subject matter experts.

Short Summary about Job:

Provide electrical engineering design, design review, and design recovery support for existing site infrastructure and new construction projects involving a variety of technical problems of wide scope and complexity. Work is primarily focused on mainline primary power and facility/building electrical systems (480V and below), with electronics as a minor and infrequent focus. Duties include field visits to assess existing electrical system configuration, research of existing and proposed system information, discipline-specific calculations, development of technical specifications, technical drawing details, constructability and operability reviews, and correspondence with subject matter experts to produce quality design products, including on-site evaluations of existing systems. This is a full-time, hybrid position requiring a DOE Q clearance.
