Job summary

Fulton is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design and verify electrical and control systems for its product lines, aligning with Fulton values and project goals.

You will manage aspects of Customer Orders and engineering initiatives, create and review drawings for orders, and ensure compliance with codes and product certifications while supporting manufacturing and field service.

Strong collaboration with cross-functional teams and attention to quality are essential in this role.

Qualifications

  • Two year degree or higher in electrical or related field.
  • Two years min. electrical and/or controls design experience.
  • AutoCAD Electrical experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of mechanical and electrical design principles.

Responsibilities

  • Design and verify electrical and control systems for Fulton products and systems.
  • Manage Customer Orders and engineering initiatives; coordinate drawings and specifications.
  • Create, review and designate drawings for customer orders; specify special electrical components as needed.
  • Ensure code and product certification compliance for all designs and products.
  • Provide technical support to Manufacturing, Customer Service and other groups (Engineering, Field Service, Purchasing).

Requirements
OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY:

The Electrical Engineer is responsible for designing and verifying electrical and control systems for various Fulton products and systems, in a manner that is consistent with the Fulton values and operating philosophy. The Electrical Engineer is responsible for managing aspects of Customer Orders and Company projects/initiatives.

ACCOUNTABILITIES
  1. Customer Orders – Creates, maintains, reviews, approves and designates drawings for customer orders. Identify and specify any special order electrical components that need to be purchased to fulfill the requirements of the order. Works with Project Manager to ensure pricing, availability and specifications align with project needs.
  2. Code and Product Certification Compliance – Ensures the electrical aspects of all new products, existing products, and modified/custom designs meet the applicable codes and standards.
  3. Technical Support – Provides technical support for Manufacturing (in-process and final electrical inspections, coordinate electrical testing, implementation of new drawings/components/methods, communicates quality feedback), Customers (communicate with relevant internal and external people as needed to resolve technical issues regarding controls and electrical design), and other groups (Product Engineering, Field Service, Sales, Quality, Purchasing, Planning).
  4. Documentation – Ensures appropriate documentation is obtained and maintained for all projects, inclusive of appropriate filing for Customer orders, and for other Engineering (ECR’s, CAR’s, RMA’s, WR’s) or Service (call logs) related tasks.
QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Two year degree or higher in electrical or related field.
  2. Two years min. electrical and or controls design experience
  3. AutoCAD Electrical Experience preferred
  4. Knowledge of both Mechanical and Electrical Design Principles

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  1. Repetitive Motion – Substantial movement/motion of the wrists, hands and fingers.
  2. Sitting – The body is supported by buttocks and back and employee needs to remain seated for extended periods of time.
  3. Vision – Close visual acuity to perform an activity such as analyzing data, viewing a computer terminal, inspection involving small defects or welds, use and operation of machines, use of measurement devices, etc.
  4. Travel – Work requires travel by car or airplane and includes extended periods of sitting.
