Job summary

Actalent, a global engineering services leader, is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design, maintain, and improve electrical systems for manufacturing and packaging equipment in New London, WI. You will support power distribution networks, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with OEMs and contractors on automation projects.

The role emphasizes hands-on work, startup/commissioning activities, and adherence to safety standards such as NEC, NFPA, OSHA, and GMP.

Qualifications

• Proficient with electrical systems design and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Support PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servo drives, sensors, and industrial networks.

• Partner with OEMs, integrators, and contractors on automation and capital projects.
• Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, OSHA, GMP, and company safety standards.
• Participate in arc flash, LOTO, and electrical risk assessments.
• Lead or support capital projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Create and maintain electrical drawings, standards, and documentation.

Skills and Qualifications Required

• Proficient in Rockwell and/or Siemens.

• Experience with PLC platforms, VFDs, and creating programs from scratch.

• Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent.

• Strong knowledge of industrial power distribution and control systems.

• Experience troubleshooting electrical and automation systems.

• Ability to read and create electrical schematics and panel layouts.

Work Environment

The work environment involves hands‑on interaction with advanced manufacturing and packaging equipment, requiring compliance with safety standards. Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of New London, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $120000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job‑related factors.
