Job Summary

Stanley Consultants, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer to work in one of our office locations. In this position, you will work on a variety of energy projects across industrial, water/wastewater, federal, and power generation sectors. Renewable system design is becoming a larger part of our portfolio and offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth.

Responsibilities
  • Manage discipline engineers and perform electrical work on projects.
  • Conduct electrical system analysis including load flow, short circuit, coordination and arc flash studies.
  • Engineer microgrid (distributed generation), battery storage energy systems, and photovoltaic electrical systems, including studies and system modeling.
  • Design electrical systems in accordance with the NEC, providing power to medium- and low-voltage distribution systems, mechanical building systems, and lighting systems.
  • Support campus distribution and building low-voltage systems; may also involve working with European voltage systems and standards.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited College or University
  • 2 - 8 years of experience in industrial, water/wastewater, federal, or power generation sectors
  • Understanding of developing engineering drawings and specifications
  • Perform basic engineering calculations
  • Assist in sizing, selecting, and specifying electrical equipment and coordinate information with vendors
  • Perform project field site visits
  • Design medium- and low-voltage electrical systems
  • Proficiency with computer programs: ETAP, SKM or Easypower; AGI or Visual Lighting Software
  • AutoCAD/Revit experience is a plus
  • FE or PE certification appropriate to experience level
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • General understanding of engineering drawings and specifications
