Job summary

Conflux Systems is seeking an Entry-Level Electrical Engineer (EIT) to support design and execution of electrical projects for federal, commercial, and industrial facilities. This role involves electrical system design, construction documentation, code compliance, and construction administration for new construction and renovation projects, including low-voltage, medium-voltage, lighting, and data centers.

Qualifications

Job description

We are seeking an Entry-Level Electrical Engineer (EIT) to support the design and execution of electrical engineering projects for federal, commercial, and industrial facilities. This role involves electrical system design, construction documentation, code compliance, and construction administration for new construction and renovation projects, including low-voltage, medium-voltage, lighting, lightning protection, data centers, and specialty electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical designs from concept through final construction documents.
• Prepare design calculations, drawings, detailing, and technical documentation.
• Design low-voltage (<1000V), medium-voltage (1kV–35kV) distribution, branch circuits, lighting, lightning protection, data centers, and specialty electrical systems.
• Apply NEC (NFPA 70) and applicable engineering codes and standards.
• Support construction administration by responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, and conducting field inspections (up to 10% travel).
• Assist with project coordination, process improvement, and mentoring junior team members when needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• EIT certification or actively pursuing the FE Exam.
• Minimum 1 year of electrical design experience with an engineering firm.
• Experience with electrical building systems design and proficiency in AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit (preferred), Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, SKM Power Analysis, and lighting foot-candle calculation software.
• Knowledge of NEC (NFPA 70), NFPA 780, NFPA 101, UFC, and UFGS is preferred.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, organization, and teamwork skills.
• Eligibility to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.
