About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer for a remote position. Candidates should be based in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area or nearby. Relocating candidates will also be considered. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the design of electrical and low-voltage systems for healthcare, commercial, and institutional buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design electrical and low-voltage systems for various projects, including healthcare, commercial, and institutional buildings.
• Perform electrical load calculations, lighting design, and power distribution system design.
• Use Revit and AutoCAD to create detailed design drawings.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated project solutions.
• Review and prepare project submittals, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and national electrical codes and standards.
• Lead and mentor junior engineers, providing guidance and support.

Qualifications:

• Required: Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
• Experience: 15+ years of experience in electrical design, with a focus on healthcare, commercial, and institutional buildings.
• Strong background in electrical and low-voltage systems design.
• Experience with lighting design, power distribution, and emergency backup systems.
• Proficiency with design software such as Revit and AutoCAD.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
